The Pastor’s Word – The Lenten Season

Category : Uncategorized

How do we walk the path of our Lord and Savior Jesus? This is probably the biggest question for the Lenten Season. Well, for one we could never walk the exact path our Lord made on our behalf. That was designated for Jesus. But as we journey toward the victory of Resurrection Sunday, we can position ourselves with the qualities Jesus had to have in order to be obedient to the Cross: Sacrificing Spirit, Prayerful Posture and Full of Faith.

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and consists of 40 days of fasting. For some, fasting is as the word indicates and are designated periods of no food intake. For others, fasting is a break from any thing that has a stronghold on us. If you have decided to give up something, it must be something you don’t need. If it’s something you don’t need, then it needs to be gone, in Jesus’ Name!

May the Peace, Power and Hope of the Lord Be with You!
