The Pastor’s Word – The Institution of the Lord’s Supper

Category : Uncategorized

22 While they were eating, he took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take; this is my body.”

23 Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, and all of them drank from it.

24 He said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.

25 Truly I tell you, I will never again drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.” (Mark 14-NRSV)

The Pastor’s Word – Loves In Need of Love Today

Category : Uncategorized

In 1976, Stevie Wonder released “Songs in the Keys of Life”. If your day permits, please listen to a selection entitled, “Loves in Need of Love Today”. In the meantime, in my best Stevie Wonder voice, I leave you:

Good morning or evening friends
Here’s your friendly announcer – I have serious news to pass on to everybody
What I’m about to say – Could mean the world’s disaster
Could change your joy and laughter to tears and pain
It’s that – Love’s in need of love today -Don’t delay
Send yours in right away – Hate’s goin’ round
Breaking many hearts – Stop it please
Before it’s gone too far
The force of evil plans – To make you its possession
And it will if we let it – Destroy ev-er-y-body…

The Pastor’s Word – What Have You Learned?

Category : Uncategorized

“What have you learned?” This is a question I’ve been asking during conferences. Everything you go through has the potential to grow you. But if you don’t take the time to reflect on what you were supposed to learn, you’ll miss something of value. Maybe it’s something you don’t need to do again. It might be something you need to repeat. I just know that life is far too valuable to miss the lessons that bring new life.
Jesus said, “…I came that they may have life and have it more abundantly”. John 10:10b
